Sewing!

I borrowed my mom's old sewing machine after Thanksgiving so I could finish up some stockings I sent to some missionary friends.  So a few weeks ago I went to Sherry's and she helped me sew a blanket that my mom is going to quilt. I spent about 7 hours there and finally finished the top.  I loved it and got the sewing bug.  I have made missionary stockings, a quilt, in the process of making another one, and last night made a pillow case for Javier who is serving in Chile.  It's the Chile flag! I didn't use a pattern so it's not perfect, but I was impressed the star even resembled a star, so I'm okay with it. I am kinda obsessed with sewing and am looking forward to using my fabric stash for more fun projects!
My Chile pillowcase!

The star up not too close..it has many flaws!

My unfinished quilt that my mom is quilting for me, the back is made of brown minke fabric and it has a border around it now

  3. I can load it, but I was going the wrong way to get the thread out from the bottom, but grandma showed us how! So now there is nothing to stop me. :)

  4. Those stockings are the cutest thing EVER! Did you have a pattern or did you just make them up? I want to make a couple for the future. And I LOVE your blanket colors - so springy! I am sure your friend is going to be thrilled with the pillow case. Isn't sewing magical?
